Please Pass The Peas – Snow Peas That Is!



The Sautéed Sesame Snow Pea recipe listed in our "recipes," is quick to fix and so delicious. The rich flavor of the sesame oil eliminates the need for any added salt!

  • Snow peas are sweet, edible flat pea pods that can be eaten raw or cooked.   Snow peas have smaller peas and more translucent pods than sugar snap peas.

  • A 3 ounce serving contains only approximately 35 calories, 0 fat, 0 sodium and 2 grams of dietary fiber.  They are an excellent source of vitamin C and a good source of iron and manganese.

  • Snow peas are often served in stir-fry recipes.  They are a nice addition to a steamed vegetable medley or served with other raw vegetables as crudités for a dip.
